Practices remembering and applying three rule relationships
State the learning goal, model one example, and decide whether learners will play alone, with a partner, or as a station. Say a simple first plan before moving. Decide what evidence would show that the plan needs to change.
Use one focused round as a model or station. Watch for the strategy and explanation, not only the score. When a move fails, find the first step where the result differed from the plan and revise from there.
Choose one: What was your first plan, and where did you revise it? Or: Which clue helped you choose between two possible moves?
Use Algorithm Flowchart for Kids to show the same skill away from the screen with drawing, labels, examples, or written reasoning.
Listen for a specific strategy, choice, revision, or explanation connected to the mission goal.
Prompt: What was your first plan, and where did you revise it?
Plan only the next two moves, test them, and add more steps after the route or rule is clear.
Find a second successful strategy and compare its number of moves, risks, or decision points.
Customize Algorithm Flowchart for Kids by grade band, difficulty, length, and support options.
